​​Leadership is one of my passions. I have been in a leadership position for my entire career. When I was younger, I was the one chosen as captain of the team, the one picked to stand up in the classroom and talk about the marketing project we were assigned, and the one that seems to always take charge when no one else can or will. I have been surrounded by good, great, and not-so-great leaders at various levels. I have watched from the sidelines the performances of some of the most fascinating current leaders in the world and read the history books on leaders of the past.
Does that make me a great leader? Hardly.
What it has done, though, is shaped my thought process on what I believe makes a truly great leader.
The great leaders possess certain innate qualities like candor, humility, vivid communication skills, intelligence, courage, character, and the ability to make morally correct decisions.
These are things that I talk about in this book. I have attempted to tell what I have learned in practical, actionable items that you can apply for yourself now and for your organization tomorrow.
It seems to me that the highly successful leaders are ones who are also making lots of profits for their organizations, and they are having a blast doing it.
They are the ones who are inspiring others to do more than they ever dreamed was possible. They are building and leaving their legacies and mentoring others to become the best they can possibly be.
Leadership is not easy, nor is it for the fainthearted.
It takes dedication, determination, and sheer will to move an organization and its people forward.
As one of my former coworkers used to say, “If it was easy, everyone would do it.”
The truth of the matter is that it is not easy.

Meet Author- Bing J. Carbone

I am an active company President (modernplastics.com) who has been in a leadership and management role for thirty years.
Over the course of this time I have learned from worldly experience, being involved in the management of people, sales, a family business, and now in corporate leadership management. My studies on the subject of leadership started in my college days, receiving a bachelor of science degree, and have included consummate reading, attending lectures, being mentored by several outstanding business leaders, and study at the Jack Welch Management Institute.
