Hello there! It is great to have you on board, journaling.
You may agree with me, that one of the things that come with being human is growth. Nature depicts this.
We are not the same weight and height as we were at birth. Growth is inevitable one may say, but it is more of a deliberate act too. Suffice it to say that simply allowing time to pass may not actually translate into growing up. Not to forget that there are some forms of growth that are’t in any way desirable. Think of cancerous growth or abnormal growth, these can be so termed, but they aren’t desirable, all things being equal. That already implies that to growth in the right way, the right actions need to be taken, and consciously so.
That leads me to say that growth, whether personal, business or otherwise, is a conscious act.
In this journal I will be providing some personal growth hacks for you to grow. That leads me to say that while you may already be working at some of the things to be discussed, growing never stops, right? In essence, this could come to you as a reminder of some sort, to get back on track with things you used to do before now.
For some others, it may be some little motivation to stay on course and commit to staying through your healthy habits in this journal.
And for some still, it could just be a prompt that these things are really important and need not be relegated to the background.
Point is, whichever way this comes across to you, be sure to glean a thing or two from it, such that it spurs you on to take, strengthen or do away with actions, behavior or lifestyle.

Improbable: from tragedies to triumphs

Just when she was about to grab hold of one of her greatest achievements, she was brutally raped and left for dead. The years of grief caused her to want to end her own life. She gained a new revelation after her failed suicide attempt.
This is a story of courageousness, self-reflection, and healing through therapy and a great support system. It tells of a start that is all too common in poorer communities. A childhood laced with drugs, violence, and alcoholism. She chronicles all of the tragedies on her way to success from childhood to adulthood.

The Purpose of Life: To Love and To Create

What is the purpose of life? Why are we here on this tiny planet amidst the immense vastness of the Universe? Can our lives have significance and meaning?
To these questions, I never found a remotely satisfactory answer in everything I read or heard. Many of the purported answers to those questions from philosophers and physicists such as life is “absurd" or “pointless”, I could not accept. I just look around and see the intrinsic, magnificent beauty of the earth and the infinite wonder of the Universe and know there is an answer befitting the splendour around us. It is simply illogical to believe that, against all odds, we are born here amongst such awe to just suffer or meander through a meaningless and pointless existence.
The many wonders and inspirations such as the pure love that is a newborn baby or the exquisite beauty of a single rose provide touchstones to intriguing answers.
In searching for the purpose of life, I first looked at what the Universe does and what its purpose is.
I then focused on what makes the Universe wondrous.
In this book, I explore love, creativity, tragedy, and paradoxes to understand the purpose and meaning of life.
I looked to the Universe, quantum physics, philosophers, religious leaders, artists, actors, writers, scientists, and some seemingly everyday people with extraordinary insights.
Digging below the surface, illuminating consensuses and insights emerged even from the dourest of philosophers and scientists.
I crafted this book to challenge a great deal of conventional thinking about what we think about life, love, creativity, and tragedy but also to ultimately get answers to the questions of the purpose and meaning of life for myself. With the goal that I could then take the answers and incorporate them into my day-to-day life to feel more fulfilled and be a better person. And conversely not lay awake worrying about life rushing past me and dying unfulfilled.
For me, this book did that. Did it solve all my problems? Absolutely not, but like paradoxes I can accept and embrace my problems as I work through them with love and creativity. And I sleep better at night.
I came to realize that the Meaning of Life is found in expressing love with creativity.
The more I looked the more confirmation I found.
