The Writer's Lounge Retreats, are for women who are ready to go from thinking about writing, or puttering around on the laptop to getting down and dirty with a handful of other like-minded souls that want to produce results.
If you have just started a novel, story, memoir, screenplay, or short stories and are looking for direction, tweaking, fine-tuning, or are just feeling stuck- this working retreat is for you. If you have a story rolling around in your head but you just get so overwhelmed at the thought of getting it down on paper; could maybe use some advice or coaching on story flow or character development- this working retreat is for you. If you are well on your way to completion (or have recently lauded the honors of typing The End) and are ready to dig back in to start smoothing, expanding or zooming in to perfection- this working retreat is for you.
If you are "stuck" and unable to move forward because... well... life... this retreat is DEFINITELY for you! We focus SO much on the Writer's Mind Method and really get to know what our brain is thinking and how to use it FOR us instead of constantly reacting. |

There's a book inside you...
We are all made up of stories. We witness stories. We are passed down stories. We dream stories. We imagine stories. We are surrounded by thousands of tiny pieces of stories that could very well come together and make something of a good book.
But if you never take the time to share those thoughts that are begging to be woven into a story, it will wither away and die in your mind and the world will never know your creative genius.
Is this you? Do you feel a story tugging at you while you're awake and even in your dreams? Do you store away interesting thoughts and phrases that you might need for your book? Do you collect names for your future characters that you know better than your own children?

I will be right there with you, working on my projects too! I'll be available for questions, advice, chatting and coaching. Use me while you have me! It is a huge passion of mine to help others achieve their writing goals whether they want to publish or just get to The End!
You will leave this extended weekend more confident in your writing skills, the direction of your story, the authenticity of your characters and as a bonus, we will also discuss the business-side or writing too!
The Writer's Mind can be your biggest asset but can also be your kryptonite. We do a lot of mindset work to help you break through the barriers your brain puts up trying to protect you! Don't feel paralyzed when you sit and stare at a blank page again! Learn the Writer's Mind Method to find and keep motivation flowing through and watch is spill over into your "normal" life as well!
We will share our thoughts, ideas and storylines with others that are on the same path. We will glean insight for what others can bring from their perspectives. We will conquer the fears of the dreaded blank page and other Writer's Blocks that may try and sneak in to thwart your creation.
With this great community, you will have a continuous source to bounce ideas off of and in turn help others coming up behind you.

Meals and drinks, sleeping arrangements and activities are included in the fee. It does not include transportation to or from location, additional unscheduled activities or incidentals. Please let us know in advance if there are dietary concerns. Activities may include, but are not limited to: theatre events, guest speakers, local special events, comedy clubs... Outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, kayaking, nature walks, picnics etc. Beds are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Once single rooms are booked, guests share a room. Requests for king beds are an additional charge. Requests for private rooms are an additional charge. These retreats are exclusively for women at this time. Full refunds given thirty days or more from date of event. No refunds are given 1-29 days prior to event.
