It is often the most disruptive minority that getting the most attention unless the teacher is very aware of their own interactions. The same is true of parents. As a parent I have had to focus myself deliberately on positive attributes of my children, (now adults!). The current wisdom is that there should be about seven times more positive praise than negative comments with respect to a child’s growth and development!
