By Eleze Thomas- McMillian
Sometimes, in order to see the path that is prepared for you in life, you must first walk it for yourself.
Lisa Thomas-McMillan has done just that. Born to a family of working poor, Thomas-McMillan knew from a young age what it was like to be hungry. She tells her early story, from growing up in rural Alabama in a family of twelve, to living as a hippy in California, all with an exciting blend of modesty and assurance that is difficult to find in an author who has not lived through similar experiences.
Somewhere during her early life, Lisa found her path and recognised that it was to ‘feed the need’ wherever it is found, particularly among the sick, the elderly and the poor.
And now, after twenty years of helping the poor and another five years of writing, Lisa’s inspirational and compelling book, Living Fulfilled – The Infectious Joy of Serving Others, is now available for you to purchase. It shows the path Lisa took, tells you how you too can take a similar path and shows that you need not be wealthy to make a difference to the lives of others.
All profits from the sales will go to help build a soup kitchen, which will provide 2500 meals per month for those less fortunate, so you will already be making a difference, just with the price for the book.
As Lisa says, she is privileged to live her dream, helping those in poverty for nothing more than their thanks and her simple philosophy is this:
If we all live for one another instead of for ourselves, no one will go hungry or have to endure the many sufferings that accompany a life of poverty.
Try it for yourself, and if you do nothing else than buy this book, then you will already have made a small difference.
