Meet Author- Micol Sanko

Micol was raised by an extended family of artists with a sense of freedom rarely found in our society. This creative environment set the stage for the choices she has made with regard to her education, career in business, and life as cancer coach, artist, writer and motivational speaker.
Micol holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, graduating with honors, from Cal State L.A.; a Paralegal Degree from UCLA, graduating at the top of her class; a Real Estate Broker’s License; and was an honor student at Kaplan University while working on her M.A. in Criminal Justice. She is also Author of Hope Over Fear – A Personal Guide to Cancer Survival.
While working in various executive positions in management, marketing and public relations throughout the last twenty years, Micol also has experience with public speaking mainly through art venues; she has inspired others to pursue their creativity and counseled them on issues of health, well-being and personal growth.
Four years ago, after many years of struggling with her own health issues, Micol was diagnosed with both Stage III Uterine Cancer in 2010 and Severe Lyme’s Disease. She won her battle against both diseases by April of 2012. Her life has been transformed through this process.
Micol is currently the CEO and Founder of Cancer Warrior, Inc., a non-profit organization she established to help others by raising funds to pay for medical treatments. Presently she is providing Cancer Coaching and continues to study the arts along with Health and Wellness.
